2024 Events

  • Difference Dash 5K - March 16, 2024

The ALH Ambassador's Program was founded as a way to develop the healthcare workforce of the future. Twenty-five Juniors and Seniors from our city and county school districts participate on an annual basis and are provided behind the scenes experiences to broaden their knowledge of the multiple career opportunities in healthcare. Each year participants complete volunteer service hours to assist hospital department operations. Monthly lunch and learn lectures are hosted with ALH Leadership as guest lecturers, who share their own personal career journeys. The ALH Ambassador's Program provides career shadowing opportunities in any area of hospital operations.

This year's ALH Ambassador group is participating in a service project, the "Difference Dash 5k". Proceeds from this event will fund the ALH Ambassador Scholarship fund. This fund is designed to provide tuition support for those Ambassadors who plan to pursue a degree in a healthcare field. Through this service project Ambassadors are gaining the following invaluable skills that will make them well-rounded leaders: Leadership, Communication, Planning, Strategy, Innovation and the importance of Philanthropy to non-profit hospitals.

Please consider supporting this event to contribute to developing the healthcare workforce of the future.
